About

What’s all the Fuss About?

Housemates for Life is a podcast powered by plurals for plurals and everybody else who wants to hear more about the insanely awesome world of plurality!

Here we talk about the good, the bad, the ugly & the beautiful sides of sharing a body & mind.

This podcast is not meant to be educational and we are no medical advisors nor therapists or whatsoever… We do this mainly for entertainment and for community building. And we also hope to do some activism with this podcast and help to destigmatise the neurological condition known as plurality.

What content do we cover in this podcast series?

We will talk about all kinds of topics that are directly or indirectly connected to plurality. That means we will talk about some of the most common terminology and how we experience plurality, how being plural impacts our daily life, for example our social life, hobbies, job, health, etc… We will share some stories about our
plural life, for example how we actually discovered that we are plural, our so-called “Syscovery Journey“, we will talk about the
challenges that we are going through or have been going through, tell some funny anecdotes from our collective “household”, and so much more…

A quick word about triggers and content warnings: naturally we will touch on topics that may be sensitive for one or the others. We want to make this podcast enjoyable for everymany and try to be mindful. We will put content warnings in the episode descriptions, however, please take care of yourselves and be aware that we cannot guarantee 100% trigger-free content nor family-friendly language. Thank you so much for understanding!

Why are we doing this podcast?

For one, we get to practise being our authentic selves, as we can actually speak for ourselves with our own voices, which isn’t always easy for us to do. We also think it might be healing for us to be so vulnerable and talk openly about our personal experiences.

And if it helps anybody out there, that’s a plus! After all, we found support and solace by reading and hearing about other plurals’ experiences. We wish to acknowledge this legacy and just pay forward what we have learned from other people, and still receive from others these days!

We also believe it’s important that as many plurals as possible share their experiences, so that we can all show what a vast spectrum plurality actually is. No plural system is the same as another!

Why we think y’all should listen to our podcast!

This podcast is powered by plurals for plurals, so if you are a system, newly discovered or if you have known it for years, or if you’re currently questioning whether you’re plural… maybe you will
learn one or few things from what we have experienced, who knows? And even when you’re not plural yourself, maybe you know somemany who are plural and want to learn to understand them better, or maybe you’re just curious in general about what it is like to be plural. We strongly believe that plurals have a lot to offer, since we see the world from various different perspectives!

Listen to our podcast if you want to hear about mental health, spirituality, deep philosophy on the essence of consciousness and identity, interpersonal communication and relationships, empathy, disabilities, neurodivergence, transgender experiences, and other types of “not normal”.
And not to mention, tune in to our podcast if you wanna hear more of Matt’s beautiful voice ;P
